SWC


South West College (www.swc.ac.uk) is one of the largest vocational and technical Colleges in the United Kingdom employing over 900 staff, servicing some 22,000 full-time and part-time learners, with an annual turnover of £42million. The College is rurally located in the western region of Northern Ireland, and offers modern technical, vocational and social based curriculum to support the local and regional economy. South West College are currently leading the ‘Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Hub’ across the Northern Ireland Further Education Sector based on their curriculum expertise and industrial links in this area. The Engineering Hub will become the recognised leader in the professional and technical area and will link to the other five colleges in the FE sector in order to draw in teaching and curriculum excellence, sectoral knowledge and employer links to provide a consistent high quality provision for learners and employers across Northern Ireland.

Tknika


Tknika is a centre promoted by the Deputy Ministry of Vocational Education and Training of the Education Department of the Basque Government.

Innovation and applied research are at the core of Tknika in its ongoing efforts to place Basque Vocational Training at the European forefront. Tknika is modelled after some of the world’s most advanced vocational training centres.

Through networking and direct involvement by the Basque Vocational Training teaching staff, the Centre develops innovative projects in the areas of technology, education and management.

IKE


The Institute of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (www.ikeinstitute.org) is the only UK professional body for innovation. It has the remit of ensuring innovation is considered as a professional discipline that required knowledge, skills and competency development. Ultimately, the IKE Institute’s remit is to stimulate innovation in education, industry and individuals.
